UNDP Spouse Pro Bono Services Programme Opens for New York LESA Members
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched a Spouse Pro Bono Services Programme in support of dual career couples in the UN System in New York City/HQ. This programme is open to all NYLESA members and the assignments offered are from every part of UNDP HQ.
The UNDP Spouse Pro Bono Services Programme offers NY LESA members the opportunity to assist - on a pro bono basis - the organisation's development goals and at the same time develop skills, competencies and work experience relevant to the UN System and further afield.
Assignments are offered at both professional and support levels, members from all backgrounds will be considered. The programme operates in all of the (New York-based) UNDP Regional Bureaux, as well as in the departments of Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Procurement and more. Flexible work patterns are welcome for members who wish to combine an assignment with their personal needs.
NY LESA members engaged on a pro bono services assignment will have the opportunity to attend relevant conferences, seminars, certified training, inter-agency activities and meetings in New York. A certificate will be issued on successful completion of assignments.
NY LESA members will receive details of available assignments via the NY LESA mailing list. Spouses and partners of staff in New York City interested in joining the NY LESA may do so by writing to gesa(at)unstaffmobility.org stating their name, email address and the name of the organization their spouse/partner is associated with.
